This website was started in 1999 as LINKWRAY.HOMEPAGE.COM under the old HOMEPAGE web service. When HOMEPAGE.COM closed down, we moved over to our own website, LINK WRAY’S NET SHACK.
After a few years with LINK WRAY’S NET SHACK, we changed the site name to WRAY’S SHACK 3 TRACKS after Vernon Wray’s legendary recording studio in Accokeek Maryland. Website traffic boomed shortly after Link’s passing in 2005. We were lucky enough to share fans tributes, pictures and show reviews with you. We always welcome any submissions to share on the website.
A couple years ago, we were fortunate enough to acquire LINKWRAY.COM and we’ve been rolling strong ever since.
We have expanded our rock and roll interests in Link to helping other musicians. You can learn more about our efforts in helping original musicians reacquire copyrights, lost recordings and more over at our website OldLineMusic.com.
This website is run by us. Financial costs associated with domain names and web fees has been paid by us - and supplemented through the purchase of merch. A large part of the content in this website has been supplied by Link fans just like us. For that we are thankful. We are honored to have the unofficial “seal of approval” from the Link Wray Estate.
Almost 20 years later, we are working hard to continue to bring some long overdue recognition to three unsung heroes of rock and roll - Vernon, Doug and Link Wray.
