RUMBLE IN PARIS

Link in Paris around 1979. Unfortunately the end of the song is clipped…and he ain't happy with the drummer!

MORE LINK ON YOU TUBE

MusicVault.com just posted an unreleased Link Wray interview from 1984. This was filmed during the MTV Guitar Greats special where Link performed with the likes of Steve Cropper, Johnny Winter, Brian Setzer, Dickie Betts and others.

YouTube is my new best friend.

I STILL LOVE YOU TUBE...

I still love YouTube. Just this month, THREE new Link Wray videos have surfaced!

First one up is Link and the Acemen from a 1995 gig in Amsterdam. Then, there are TWO FULL COMPLETE CONCERTS of Link - both extremely interesting.

The second one up is a FULL CONCERT VIDEO from 1974 at the Winterland in San Francisco. Link performs several cuts from THE LINK WRAY RUMBLE. Once Link picked up with Robert Gordon, these songs were never played again live.

The final one is a FULL CONCERT VIDEO from a 1994 gig in France. Link was promoting INDIAN CHILD, just before he went in to do SHADOWMAN. Again, Link performs a couple rare vocal cuts off INDIAN CHILD, and once SHADOWMAN came out, he never played anything from INDIAN CHILD live again. Not the greatest quality, but hey - you take what you can get.

Enjoy!

I LOVE YOUTUBE

Man, YouTube is the greatest. You never know what you’ll find. Check out the latest rare Link video to surface - Link and his AceMen - Eric Geevers and Rob Lowers, on TV in Scotland, March 26, 1996.

IT GOT LOUD AGAIN....

Link fans got an unexpected surprise recently during an appearance by Jimmy Page on the Tonight Show. After an introduction by Jimmy Fallon, Page walks onto the show to RUMBLE. Just before sitting down he and Jimmy Fallon break out their air guitars and strum a few Link chords, in homage to the documentary “It Might Get Loud.”

Thanks to Rock Hall power hitter, Tonight Show bandleader, and ace musicologist Questlove for the selection of the intro music for Jimmy Page.

VIDEO - LINK IN HAMBURG 1996

I love YouTube. Link’s son Shayne just came across some EXCELLENT footage of Link and the Ace-Men doing BATMAN at a club in Hamburg Germany in 1996. Pro-shot and well worth a look. I hope the rest of this gig surfaces soon.

You can find the footage on the
VIDEOS page.

LIVE IN DENMARK 1987 - VIDEO!

Man, you gotta love YouTube! Check out Link at City TV in Taastrup Copenhagen Denmark 1987. The video is near the top of the page.

This video is 20 minutes long (!!) and includes the unreleased song JESUS OF NAZARETH. This is the second time this song has surfaced. Link was thought only to have played it at his Washington DC Wax Museum gig in 1985. Here it is for a second time.
